B2C2, a leading institutional liquidity provider for digital assets, announced today the appointment of Elizabeth Rossiello as Chief Operating Officer. Rossiello will lead B2C2’s group operations as the firm looks to expand its institutional liquidity services to support cross-border payments and stablecoin adoption.

The appointment comes as stablecoins gain ground in global payments. Cross-border stablecoin payment volumes grew 64% in 2025, according to Allium, while McKinsey estimates total stablecoin payments reached approximately $390 billion. These developments are reshaping cross-border payments, creating demand for digital asset liquidity alongside traditional FX capabilities. With more than a decade of experience serving digital asset markets, B2C2 is well positioned to provide the deep, reliable and compliant liquidity that payment companies require.

“The next big shift in digital assets isn't happening on trading screens, but in payments, where stablecoins are becoming a faster way to move money between markets that traditional banking has struggled to serve," said Thomas Restout, Group CEO of B2C2. "Elizabeth hasn't just advised on that kind of business; she has run and scaled one across regulated markets in Europe and Africa. Her appointment signals the next phase of B2C2’s growth. We want to be the liquidity behind global payments, not just global trading."

Rossiello has spent more than a decade building regulated digital asset and payments infrastructure in some of the world's fastest-growing markets. In 2013, she founded BitPesa in Nairobi, which subsequently expanded into regulated payment services in the UK. Rebranded as AZA Finance, the business grew into a cross-border FX and payments company serving 34 of the largest remittance firms and 10 of the world's leading payment processors, with operations across the UK, Spain, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda and Cameroon. AZA Finance was an early adopter of digital currencies, and later stablecoins to settle payment flows into Africa.

“Over the last decade, the digital asset industry has expanded beyond trading to powering payments and treasury settlement. I’ve spent my career building licensed, reliable money movement infrastructure in markets that others thought impossible,” said Elizabeth Rossiello, Chief Operating Officer of B2C2.

“At B2C2, I see a significant opportunity to connect payments, trading and investing through reliable, institutional-grade liquidity. Having worked with SBI through AZA for almost a decade, I know the value of its long-term strategic support. I look forward to building on that relationship as B2C2 expands its presence in global payments.”
